Characteristics
“Belgravia” peonies are known for their extravagant and showy blooms. “Belgravia” peonies have vigorous pink flowers with darker pink edges. Although they absent an explosive aroma, they adequately compensate for it with shading and density.
“Belgravia” peonies bloom in the late spring or early summer. “Belgravia” peonies are herbaceous perennials that can reach 60 cm in height and 20 cm in width. They grow in a bushy manner and require staking to support their heavy blooms.
Origin Belgarvia Peony
The “Belgravia” peony is a herbaceous peony variety developed by breeders and horticulturists through selective breeding. The exact origin of the Belgravia peony is unknown, but it was most likely developed in a horticultural breeding program.
Peonies are native to Asia, Europe, and North America, and they have been cultivated for centuries for their lovely blooms. Breeding new peony varieties entails selecting plants with desirable characteristics such as larger flowers, stronger stems, and various colors. These chosen plants are then crossed with other varieties to produce new hybrids with the desired characteristics.
The “Belgravia” peony is a result of such breeding, and it is known for its large, double, rose-pink flowers and strong stems that can support the heavy blooms without drooping. The name “Belgravia” may have been chosen for this variety because of its elegant appearance, which would be appropriate for London’s upscale Belgravia district.
Flower Care
Here are some care recommendations for a peony bouquet: When you receive the peonies bouquet, carefully remove it from its packaging. Under running water, cut the flower stems diagonally at a 45-degree angle with clean and sharp scissors. This will prevent air bubbles from forming in the stems, which can obstruct water uptake. To prevent bacterial growth in the vase, remove any leaves or foliage that are below the water line. Choose a vase that is clean and large enough to hold the peonies. Fill it with clean, fresh water. If the bouquet includes flower food, mix it into the water according to the package directions. If you don't have flower food, you can add a pinch of sugar to the water to help keep the water clean and the flowers nourished. Change the water every two days and recut the stems at a 45-degree angle to assist the flowers in absorbing water. You can help ensure that your peonies bouquet stays fresh and beautiful for as long as possible by following these steps.Order Belgarvia peony in bulk
